મંગળવારે યુપીએસસી સીએસઈના પરિણામ જાહેર કરવામાં આવ્યું. જેમાં એશ્વર્યાએ 93 ક્રમ મેળવ્યો છે. સાયન્સનો અભ્યાસ કરતી એશ્વર્યાએ પોતાની ઇચ્છા શક્તિના દમ પર આ પદ પ્રાપ્ત કર્યું છે. તેની પસંદગી બાદ એશ્વર્યાએ મીડિયાને જણાવ્યું હતું કે મારી માતાએ મારું નામ ભૂતપૂર્વ મિસ વર્લ્ડ અને અભિનેત્રી એશ્વર્યા રાયના નામ પર રાખ્યું છે.

મમ્મી ઈચ્છતી હતી કે હું મોડેલિંગ અને ફેશન જગતમાં નામ કમાવ. એશ્વર્યાએ કહ્યું કે મમ્મી હજી પણ મને મિસ ઈન્ડિયા બનતા જોવા માંગે છે. હું મિસ ઈન્ડિયાના 21 ફાઇનલિસ્ટમાં પસંદગી પામી હતી. પરંતુ મારા માટે વહીવટી સેવામાં જવાનું હંમેશાં એક સ્વપ્ન હતું.આ માટે મેં મારી મોડલિંગ કારકિર્દીમાંથી વિરામ લીધો અને સિવિલ સર્વિસ પરીક્ષાની તૈયારી શરૂ કરી. મોડેલિંગથી આઈએએસ બનવાનું સ્વપ્ન પૂરું કરવું સહેલું નહોતું પરંતુ તે અશક્ય પણ નહોતું. અને આખરે મને તેમાં સફળતા મળી.
